谢续明Xu-Ming Xie

         1981年4月由教育部公派去日本留学。1985年3月毕业于日本信州大学,1987和1990年3月先后在东京工业大学获硕士和博士学位。1990年4月起在日本昭和电工公司做研究员。1992年回国工作。1999年在清华大学化工系晋升为教授。1999、2001和2005年分别在日本东京工业大学、美国明尼苏达大学、日本中央大学做访问教授。主要研究领域是高分子物理化学、聚合物材料结构和性能。最近主要从事纳米材料的修饰和多维自组装、高强纳米物理水凝胶、聚合物的受限凝聚态结构、多组分聚合物体系相结构控制以及反应接枝等的研究。在国内外期刊上发表论文超200 多篇,其中被 SCI 收录180 余篇。获发明专利授权19项、其中国际专利3项。现任中国机械工程学会材料分会副理事长、高分子材料专业委员会主任;中国化学会高分子学科委员会委员;中国复合材料学会理事、民用产品结构与应用专业委员会副主任;中国材料研究学会高分子材料科学与工程分会常务委员,以及《机械工程材料》杂志编委会副主任,《Chinese Chemical Letters》、《Chinese Journal of Polymer Science》、《功能高分子学报》、《高分子材料科学与工程》和《中国塑料》杂志编委。国家自然科学基金委员会第十四届专家评审组专家。获日本学术振兴会(JSPS)访问学者基金,美国明尼苏达大学化工与材料系杰出访问教授以及ELSEVIER出版机构颁发的“Polymer”杂志第一届“Feng Xingde Polymer Prize”。          Professor Xu-Ming XIE graduated with B. Eng from Shinshu University, Japan in 1985. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Dept. of Organic and Polymeric Materials, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 1987 and 1990, respectively. From 1990 to 1992, he worked as a research scientist at Kawasaki Plastics Laboratory, Showa Denko, Ltd. (Japan). He has worked at Tsinghua University since 1992, and has been a professor since 1999. His current research areas cover: 1) Polymer blends and nanocomposites. 2) Polymer assisted assembly of low-dimensional nanomaterials and their application in energy storage devices 3) Polymer grafting and modification. 4) Super tough polymer gels and Super absorbent polymers. 5) Confined crystallization and phase separation of polymer systems. He awarded JSPS Visiting Professor Fellowship in 1999 and Georgy. T. Piercy Distinguished Visiting Professor award from Dept. of Chemical Engineering & Materials, University of Minnesota (USA) in 2002. He was also invited as a visiting professor in Chuo University, Japan in 2005. In 2007 He obtained the first “Feng Xinde Polymer Prize” from ELSEVIER. He has over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and 19 patents. He is editorial board member of 《Chinese Chemical letters》,《Chinese Journal of Polymer Science》,《Journal of Functional Polymers》,《Polymer Materials Science and Engimeering》 and 《China Plastics》.
